5—Transit Drop), making it one of the toughest cookies in its class where consumers are concerned. Depending on your budget, you can choose from 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities which will come in purple, orange and red colors, respectively. After all, the JetFlash V70 is more than capable of meeting rigorous U. S. military drop-test standards (MIL-STD-810F 516. Transcend’s latest Anti-Shock USB Flash Drive comes in the form of the JetFlash V70, where it relies on a durable, eco-friendly rubber casing that allows it to survive most shocks, splashes and dust with impunity. A unique feature would be its special tethered cap holder that prevents it from getting lost whenever removed from the drive while you’re busy performing file transfers.

5mm and tips the scales at just 50 grams, and will come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. The high-speed eSATA interface will offer a (theoretical figure only – real world usage differs greatly) maximum read speed of 90MB/s and write speed of 50MB/s. The SSD18M measures a mere 80mm x 50mm x 12. When hooked up via USB 2. On the outside you will find tSSD18M covered in chic gloss diamond pattern fascia for those who want a little bit of fashion in their tech. Transcend has a spanking new 1. 0, it will adhere to that standard which will be slower that eSATA, although there will be maximum compatibility by nature of its connection.

[CES 2009] Digital picture frames are dime a dozen, and Transcend attempts to be different this CES with the PF810 digital picture frame. You will get the following specifications with the PF810 :-

Latency is reduced to being virtually non-existent at 0.

Transcend has just released its new 192GB solid state drive (SSD) that comes in a 2. 5″ form factor. What makes this different is the inclusion of a new powerful new controller that helps this latest offering from Transcend to outpace regular 2. 2ms, making this one suitable device to pop into performance rigs. 5″ hard drives (now, that’s not a really fair playing field, right – but we’ll see why later), capable of offering sustained read/write speeds of up to 150MB/90MB per second for fast throughput regardless of file size. There is no word on pricing or availability though, so we’ll just have to keep our eyes and ears opened. This is a major blow to hard drive manufacturers who always take pride in their throughput speed where humongous file sizes are concerned.
