Thanks to the iPhone, Apple’s profits are 15% higher than they were a year ago: that’s $1. Apple sold twice as many iPhone as it did in Q1 2008, showing that its design still have what it takes to win the hearts and wallets of customers, despite the economic crisis. We wonder how iPhone apps and iTunes music/video sales contributed to the bottom-line.

We played with the original HTC device in February at Mobile World Congress and we expect this Touch Pro to be very similar. The HTC Touch Pro 2 is now available from T-Mobile. Overall, HTC has improved on their user interface quite a bit, and they also made the keyboard better, when compared to the original Touch Pro (it was too flat then).

As usual, the display is great but the pricing seems a bit out of whack. $350 with a two year contract is hardly consumer friendly – but of course, you should take a look at the total cost of ownership, which includes 24 months of contract + taxes + activation fees.

Users should not see a difference in the day to day operations aseBay simply wanted to focus on things like auctions and Paypal, where Skype has little to no synergy.
