CES 2009 saw the announcement of what was actually the thinnest Blu-ray player in the market from Samsung, but we guess it finally took at least a couple of months before those announcements were made reality – as in arriving on store shelves at a good electronics store near you. 99 a pop. 99, respectively, the super slim BD-P4600 that everyone and their grandmother are looking forward to will only be able to bring one home when April rolls around, retailing for up to $499. Image courtesy of Engadget. Hmmm, that actually makes a PS3 a whole lot more tempting, never mind the fact that it lags badly behind in the current gen console sales. [Press Release]

While both the BD-P3600 and BD-P1600 are already readily available, retailing for $399. 99 and $299.

Available at UK stores this March 20th onwards, they will be ready to meet the needs of those who want to pick up SingStar Pop Edition for PS3 this April. Sony has just rolled out a new bunch of wireless SingStar microphones that are touted to be “easy to pass around”. These accessories are lead-free, which is good for the environment, although we’re not sure whether the voices that accompany them will be a disturbance to the local peace or not.

Both models are basically the same, save for the latter that comes with a foot massage option for that extra bit of pampering.

Panasonic hopes to reverse the visual calamity associated with massage chairs by releasing two models which ought to be able to find a niche place in any living room regardless of your decor setup. Unfortunately for the masses, most of the mid-range and entry-level massage chairs look ugly as sin despite doing their job pretty well. Panasonic will offer the EP-MS40 and EP-MS10 in ten difference colors.

It will take a fair bit of time to accomplish that though as the parts aren’t to say the smallest in the world, making it a rather huge challenge to incorporate it into something as tiny as the iPod nano. It seems that the iPhone and iPod lines of devices seem to incorporate more and more memory into them with each passing release, making it a snap for some to tote virtually their entire digital entertainment on-the-go, and Apple could be looking into integrated micro projector technology into future iPhones and iPods in order to turn those into a comprehensive portable media player that can be shared with family and friends in an adequately dark environments, viewing videos that everyone is interested in.

That’s probably some wishful thinking on the part of the projector manufacturer. Publisher’s note: note that while Apple *could*, it certainly would not. If Apple had to add some bulk to the iPhone, it should be for a sliding keyboard, not a projector.
