We would appreciate comments if you’ve already given this a go. The latest to fall victim would be the BlackBerry Storm 9530 with its OS 4. Do take extra care if you’re thinking of giving this a go, as a backup is in good order unless you want to tear your hair out in frustration should the unofficial firmware fail to work as advertised while taking down your personal data along with it. 0.

How many times have we seen unofficial firmware leaks from the company? 109 firmware update. 7.

For the uninitiated, a leaked firmware might work but there is also the risk of it bricking your precious Curve 8900 as it has not been officially tested and released to the masses just yet. Somebody had better call the plumber to pay RIM a visit – there are far too many firmware updates being leaked out these days, and the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is next with its OS 4. 174 firmware.
