Hopefully this latest outing by Motorola won’t end up in flames as it would be ironic to have such a prophetic name for a handset. Other specifications and details are still scant at time of publishing, but we know that this won’t be a high end handset so don’t get your hopes up that this will displace the iPhone as the hottest phone on the market. Verizon is first in line to release a new cell phone from Motorola known as Inferno, while other circles have gone about calling it the Torch.

Word has it Verizon will begin hardware trials sometime this week, and a notable cosmetic change would be the removal of the plastic flip.
