Google Chrome To Get 3D Graphics

Posted by: software on: 06 Sep, 2009

This will clearly usher in a new age of web applications, turning them into even more intensive and sophisticated software which will more or less be closer to native apps. Operating systems are getting more and more sophisticated as hardware becomes more powerful, so it is no surprise to see Google’s Chrome OS to feature their very own O3D plug-in that allows browsers to use hardware-accelerated 3D graphics. We wonder whether netbooks will have enough processing and graphical firepower to handle such operating systems in the near future.

Publisher’s note: it’s nice. . . Drop your favorite 3D apps/plug-in the comments.

very nice, but there’s not a lot of cool 3D stuff on the web.
